The legand of Lizzie Began on the morning of August 4, 1892, Fall River, Massachusetts. Lizzie Borden quietly walks to the guest bedroom where her stepmother was preparing the room. At that moment the two were alone in the house; the family maid was washing the outside first floor windows. In Lizzie's hands was an ax or hatchet.
Nineteen times she hacked away at her stepmother, hacking out five-inch holes in the scull chopping it into ribbons! Then she left the body where it had fallen, she cleaned herself and the weapon, and then, calmly engaged in her daily chores just passing some time while waiting for her father to return home. She was waiting!
When her father arrived home she greeted him with seeming serenity, told him that Mrs.Borden was out on a sick call. "Sit down father" She says acting concerned about his health because of the enveloping heat, "Go streach out on your favorite sofa in the sitting room and relax" she says. Next Lizzie tries to send the maid out of the house but instead the maid ends up going up into her attic room, safely out of sound and sight. Soon after her father had fallen asleep, Lizzie returns to her father with the same ax or hatchet in her hands.  She walks up to her sleeping father and begins hacking away ten times at him slicing through her father's cheekbone, severing an eye completely in half continuing it's path deep into his skull. Blood splatted all over the walls and ceiling of the room. The bone-crushing blows may have snapped the handle of the weapon ending the attack. Within ten minutes or less, she removed all traces of blood and even managed to scour the  blade and the remaining stub of the handle so THOROUGHLY that the scientists test failed to show the slightest trace of blood!
During the funeral Lizzie had shead no tears and showed no signs of grief and some how, some way, got off as not guility in court!
